Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
As we are ending the year, we are very thankful for the Lord’s faithfulness in every aspect of our life. Here is an update on what the Lord has done in the ministry here this past month.
Peru Bible College – New Church Plant: We are thankful that Bryan, one of our third year Bible College students, has been sent out through his local church to start a new church plant! We know that churches plant churches, but we are privileged to be part of his training through the Bible College and the team of Pastors that work there. This new church plant is called “Love Baptist Church” and is located on the outskirts of the city. There are many people who have migrated from other cities and states into this area of Arequipa, and there is a great need! As the city is growing so quickly that we can’t keep up, we are thankful for Victory Baptist Church and Bryan seeing this great need and seeking to get the gospel to the people in this area.
We had almost 100 people there for the launch of the church and there is consistently over 20 people for every service.
Please pray for Bryan and Love Baptist Church as they are in the beginning stages! We are excited to see more people saved and more lives changed through the gospel.
While missionaries Kason and Bethany Bloom are here for language school and cultural training, they have started an English class at Omega Baptist Church for the month of November. In their first class, they had over 90 students! Thankfully many people have continued participating in these free classes and some have attended our church services. We are thankful for Kason and Bethany’s ministry, and we are praying that many people will be saved and become part of our church through their time spent here.
There is one teenage girl named Sigrid that came through the classes and has been attending every single church service and has even made new friends at church. Please pray that she would be saved and discipled soon.
WE NEED LAND! We recently found a piece of property for Omega Baptist Church. We made an offer by faith that we would pay them $240,000 over the next 13 months. However, the family who owns the property declined our offer. Land is very expensive here and we are looking for a new home for our church. Please pray that we could find a piece of property soon and that the Lord would provide the funds needed to buy the land!
For His Glory.
